Before we dive into what the golden circle entails, I would introduce you to the importance of embedding stories in the content that you write for your business content marketing.

Storytelling is about standing out and not blending in. A story can help create alignment between your business, your prospects, and your customers. You need to incorporate stories into your content marketing strategy to create a human connection and position your audience as characters where they see their needs in front of them and quickly decide on a product and make a purchase.

As a content marketer and content creator, I write contents that have stories as their body copy to engage and educate the audience, thereby appealing to the emotional side of a target audience.

For example, I wrote series of blog content for a real estate firm not long ago to position them as the number one in their industry. The goal was to tell the audience their story and connect with them on an emotional level. In the end, prospects saw themselves as characters and perceived themselves as already living in that luxury apartment they had always dreamt of.

The golden circle rule was introduced into the content, which stated the following about the real estate brand.

BLOG WRITING STRATEGY
  1. Why are you doing what you are doing?
  2. How will this help your audience?
  3. What are you offering?

‘Why’ and ‘how’ communicates with feelings and deals with human behavior. The ‘what’ tells the audience what you are offering in terms of services or products.

I used the above rule to interact with the audience and give the reader a glimpse of the values and missions of the company.

So, whatever you do in your content marketing strategy, ensure you express the why of your story to provide the best content that won’t get your readers bored.
